Every September, Cannes becomes the world capital of yachting. The Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 runs from Tuesday 8 to Sunday 13 September, bringing around 700 boats, 680 exhibitors and some 56,600 visitors to the Vieux Port and Port Canto. The docks close in the evening. The week does not.
Once the last appointment is done and the dockside receptions wind down, the real question of festival week arrives: where do you take the evening next, when the night in Cannes is still young and your standards are as high as the boats you spent the day on?

Cannes Yachting Festival 2026: the dates, and what they mean for your evenings
The show runs across two sites — the historic Vieux Port for new motor yachts, and Port Canto for sailing yachts and the brokerage fleet. Six days, and six very different nights:
- Tuesday 8 – Thursday 10 September — doors 10am to 7pm. Business days: appointments, sea trials, client dinners. Evenings start early and run long.
- Friday 11 September — doors 10am to 10pm. The one late day of the show. When the pontoons finally empty, the whole festival goes out at the same time. This is the busiest night of the week, by some distance.
- Saturday 12 September — doors 10am to 7pm. The public and owner crowd, and the most festive night of the show.
- Sunday 13 September — doors 10am to 6pm. Closing day, and the quietest evening — often the best one for a small group that wants space.
If you take one practical thing from this page: Friday and Saturday need to be booked in advance. Not because we like formalities, but because those two nights are the densest of the entire Cannes autumn.
Where to go after the Cannes Yachting Festival
Festival week has its own rhythm. Industry dinners, private receptions, unplanned gatherings between brokers and buyers that end somewhere around midnight — and then a decision to make.
The difficulty is that most of Cannes in September is either shut, overrun, or simply not built for the crowd the Yachting Festival brings in. Packed clubs, generic bars, the tourist strip — none of it fits people who have spent the day on a superyacht deck.

“Is anything open late in Cannes in September?”
Yes. Bus Paradise Cannes is open seven nights a week, from 10pm until dawn — all year, not only during show weeks. Yachting Festival week is simply the busiest of them.
“How far is it from the show?”
A few minutes from both sites. We are in the Carré d’Or, steps from La Croisette, between the Vieux Port and Port Canto.
“Can I book a private lounge in advance?”

“What are the rules?”
Over-21s only, ID checked at the door, smart casual dress code, phones left at the cloakroom. Security is on site throughout the night, and prices are displayed at the entrance and at the table.
“What time should we arrive?”
Early or mid-evening gives you the best of the room and the choice of table. For late arrivals, access conditions are arranged directly with the team when you book — worth sorting out in advance rather than at the door.
The experience
The tone is set from the door. Selection at the entrance keeps the room right; the dress code — smart casual, and enforced — means you are surrounded by people who took the evening seriously. Inside, the space is built to build: a drink at the bar, the show on stage, and a private lounge whenever you decide to move.
